I had been weight training and running for several years and recently had to retire from playing rugby due to a back injury. I started doing some classes in the gym as I found them much more enjoyable than training by myself. I first met Greg at his Tuesday evening circuit session after a recommendation from my partner. The class was great! I did a few things I hadn’t done before and although it was hard work, it was also very enjoyable. There’s always a great sociable atmosphere in Greg’s classes. Greg is also very quick to recognise the difference in abilities amongst his clients and structures the workouts to maximise this. I’m sure I will be training with Greg for a long time yet...

I have been attending CFT boot camps for over 18mths now and I can honestly say this is the most dedicated I have been to any exercise programme.  I think a combination of “no session is the same” and visibly seeing a real change to my fitness levels and body shape have kept me motivated.  My aim was not to lose weight but to tone and improve my general fitness and Greg’s Boot camps have certainly achieved that.  I have also treated myself to Personal Training sessions which I fitted around the boot camps and that again increased my stamina and has made me confident to enter into a few fitness challenges over the coming year.  My boot camp buddies are another reason I enjoy the sessions each week, there are a real mix of age, fitness levels and personalities and we have a lot of fun.

After my first boot camp session I knew that I would definitely be coming back! I was hooked. I've spent the last few years trying to find something that I could enjoy while keeping fit and I was getting bored with the whole gym scene but boot camp ticks all the boxes for me. All the trainers are great motivators and keep you going just when you need it. The regimes are so varied I don't think I've done the same workout since I've been attending! The camaraderie of working out alongside other likeminded 'boot campers' and the support and encouragement keeps me coming back for more! That and the fact that I'm getting fitter and feeling better!

I've been going to CFT boot camps for eight months now and I've also had some PT sessions.  My fitness has come on in leaps and bounds; from not being able to do a sit up when I started I am now above average for sit ups and press ups in the fitness tests.  My body shape has changed and I feel much better about myself.  I love training outside and Greg's enthusiasm and motivation have encouraged me to challenge myself by taking part in the Saturday morning military fitness marathon, the fun military run and enter a 10k challenge with obstacles, events I would never have attempted before.  No session is ever the same and this together with the great people I train with, keep me motivated.  I can honestly say I have never had so much fun exercising.

I have been doing boot camp/group training sessions with Greg for 2 years now. I had wanted to get back to exercise after having kids and was a bit nervous about doing a boot camp class! But I loved it and it's now part of my life, the friends I do the group sessions with are all mixed abilities but Greg makes sure we all work to our own capabilities. The one thing we all do equally is laugh, a lot. It’s a fabulous way to get fit, lose weight and have fun.
